Given our rather crappy weather I can't grow grapes like my sister does, on the plus side she certainly can't grow damsons like I do. Given I may possibly like jam butties more than I do a glass of cab I reckon we are both doing what we need to do to be happy!
Mmmm, ripe damsons warmed by the sun, straight from the tree. Delicious.
ReplyDeleteHaddock...indeed!
ReplyDeleteI was given a huge carrier-bag full of them last week!
ReplyDeleteMade the first jam ever, and am really hooked!
Lucky you with such a good tree(s), it's been a good year for them apparently, which can't be bad!
scrobs, it has been a bumper year, enjoy the jam.
ReplyDeleteDamson jam is fab. I wouldn't settle for just one, I'd have both!
ReplyDeleteI love Damson Jam. My dear Mama used to make the best jam ever,
ReplyDeleteincluding blackcurrant and strawberryjam, along with her famous Damson Jam.
Our grandad had a great plot at the end of his garden so you name it and he grew it !
Hope all is well in 'Thud' world, I've been taking a break from blogging for the time being,
Love Di xx
