Up we go

We are finally making steady progress with the building of the Bothy. The blockwork flys up but building with stone is not like building with brick, no block of stone is like the next and so every single block has to be hand picked and in some cases re cut.The quoins are 170lb  in weight each and so getting them above 3 courses is going to require a little effort as even though heavy they have rather fragile edges and require some finesse in their laying, if only the weather would co operate!

Marvellous stonework there!

Call the Egyptians, he's building a square pyramid! Are ramps involved in hoisting the quoins? It is said the pyramid laborers subsisted on a beer like beverage, and then they discovered a use for the leftover mash, and invented bread afterwards!
