I'm having no luck with the foundry getting terrace railings cast due to my off the cuff building practise making things rather awkward for other trades (my fault!) so my plan B is to build a wall/balustrade resembling the one below albeit a simpler version. I need to do this even though it will be awkward and expensive lest it is a case of a ha'porth of tar scenario.

How long's that going to take you?
james, just trying to work it out now as it depends on what the quarry can cut for me as it will need to be dense good quality stone.
That color or the red stone? Truly we can not escape a millennium of Neolithic heritage!
If you are needing that particular motif in cast iron you could visit Swanage Pier, your scouse heritage may come in useful... returning home with a van load.

Alternatively Swanage Pier Trust might tell you who produces them.
There's a place up by two Mills on the Welsh rd that seems to do all sorts of metalwork, top Chester rd turn left for Wales by the mini car showrooms a few yards further up.
I like the look of those trefoils, they look like the Manx triskelion.
Haddock: Swanage Pier photo is beautiful.
Albert: Friend bought a mini the other day...made me think of that dealership (and home).
