Magic in the air
I spent most of today taking logs out of the drying stacks and running them through the log splitter.I spent the time musing on various subjects one being what to post next when this flew low overhead....problem solved!
We went up in one a few years back, it was a majestic and stately ride in the sky. In comparison the B-25 Mitchell was so loud you couldn't hear yourself think, and it rattled and shook like a can of loose bolts - but boy was it fast!
About 20 years ago I was in a helicopter with my son, treating him to a 5 min joyride at a village fete, when the pilot was told to hold station as a vintage plane was transiting the area. We saw that plane at about the same level as us and not to far away. Nice to see but it rather spoilt the joyride .

To the Royal Air force: "Never have so many owed so much to so few."
There are still some Yankees that remember!
