I'm still trying to ignore the low level chaos around me caused by the Brexit vote as every time I read or hear about it I end up angry at all concerned which gets me nowhere but....angry! To pass the time my good friend the rock grock and I finished off making the steps on the gate lodge safe and more useable by building a couple of small but quite attractive (says me) walls that just need jet washing off now. I was strictly on construction as the dog legs involved in the coping where way beyond anything I could ever consider.... best leave it too the rock grock and his mallet.

Mrs Albert says the walls look lovely, I will hold my opinion until I can magnify the pictures to make sure the walls are perfect.
Albert, if you drive past very very fast they look perfect!
Tried to do that this morning but the overgrown rustic treeline and hedges deny people the sight of the three jewels hidden behind, as we're going to Ellesmere Port market and the Asda shopping ,I will try again but the bushery and trees will no doubt block the view, isn't it time you gave the tribe some machetes and the keys to farmer Giles tractor and let them follow their artistic dad into the jungles of Brimstage and come up with a garden that show the jewels off, :-)
Lovely. You are lucky to have such a skilled stone-mason available - such people are pretty rare I think.
I'm also mad as hell at the chaos currently surrounding us; the so-called government seem to have turned into a crowd of primary-school children running around yelling "Oh no, what do we do now?".
Pathetic.
It's beyond incompetent that nobody seems to have had any plan at all regarding this outcome; it wasn't that unlikely, after all. They are contemptible and it's impossible to have any confidence in any of them. Where are the grownups?
W.Y. my thoughts exactly.
Makes such a difference to the patio area, nice.
They do have a plan. Those that have it are not in government.
Gove - Leadsom - Redwood ... they are grown ups, to name a few.
My anger* has given way to anxiety. But then I can't remember a time when I wasn't anxious.
*Anger that so many clear and democratically expressed warnings by the public were ignored.
Nice stone work btw.
After a a magnified look at the pictures and a high speed pass outside, please get your hedges, cut 500ms is just too short a time when driving around the roads by you, I have come to the conclusion another superb job, just one day you will make a mistake and I'll be hanging off your trees letting you know, :-)
DeWalt hammer-drill, John Deere mower - you seem to have the right tools for the jobs at hand. Meanwhile the "Elites" are not so elite as they think they are, and that's the panic.
This is absolutely lovely. :)
