Vino slaves

My kids put in a shift as vino slaves at aunt Vinogirls today, netting the vines to keep off pesky birds. The little uns did a  full morning shift and as a reward they then went for in and out burgers....its good to be a kid!

All that for a glass of wine.

VinodogII, two of the Vinonieces, and the original Vinoaunt too, with some Chicory makes for a great photo-log!

I see you caught Vinodog 2 at her supervisory best.

I never realised that birds were a problem for grapes, although they are for soft fruit over here.

We don't bother with netting rasps, as the ten percent rule (what the birds get), applies, and we have far too many anyway!

They knobbled a blackcurrant bush recently, but fergoodnesssake, however many blackcurrants do you really need..;0)

Well done those stove-lids anyway!

Nothing worthwhile comes without some travail! You must be getting about the same, "gentle" warm temps as us on the sunny uplands! :-)
