Circus, circus.

The clowns are out in force in the American senate today, I hope the spirit of Brexit appears and bites them on the arse in November.

Yay Brexit! I appreciate the sentiment too, it's nice having a semi-punk President.
Not sure about the whole Megxit thing, don't care much either - it's just that Harry seems a bit like a lost soul, or one that has spent too much time in the washer.

When the US Democrats would rather celebrate poverty, weakness, and corruption, not to mention San Francisco/LA poopsville, the choice of President Trump is a no-brainer.

I have to agree with you that "no-brainer" perfectly describes a Trump voter.

anon, yet the no brainers will win again, painful no?

When I have a spare couple of seconds, I wonder why the democrats spend all their time poking things at President Trump, and do virtually nothing for the USA!

After Brexit this week, there'll be so many opportunities for the US and elsewhere, to trade with us, and they'll all be managed without the hindrance of losers like the democrats and the socialists!

I do agree with you Thud it is well possible that the "no-brainer" will win the election again. I have never claimed that election are necessary won by smart people.

anaon, I have no idea how smart he is but I do know the members of my family who support him are decent hard working intelligent individuals, that coupled with him making me richer and annoying people I dislike is enough for me so at least one of us is going to be happy come nov.

well maybe you measure the intelligence of your family members base on your own intelligence.

It's also good that you think you're rich (or richer). I will keep you believing this.

"GROWING THE ECONOMY TO NEW HEIGHTS: The American economy continues its strong growth under President Donald J. Trump, with GDP growth reaching 4.1% in the second quarter. With GDP growth reaching 4.1% in Q2 of 2018, it’s clear that President Trump is delivering on his promise to revitalize the American economy."
This is but one metric of accomplishment with a totally resistant Democrat party in opposition and obstruction.
Others metrics like 10 million food-stamp recipients now in an economic rising tide and are now off the gov. ass., 7 million jobs created, and an optimistic working population. California alone drags-down the data on homelessness (poor State governance).
In contrast to Obama's GDP never more than 3%, increasing poverty, racial strife, REAL scandals like Fast and furious, unemployment (remember that claim of having to have a 'magic wand'), and the malaise gripping employers and employees alike, uncontrolled and illegal immigration.
I could go on and on, but facts usually don't help anons with an agenda.
President Trump's agenda serves to MAGA. It was long overdue that we had a non-politician not worried about what people think of him, but getting the job done.
Having been both a Democrat and a Republican, I'm now a Trumpian (patriotic pragmatist).

Interesting point of view. But do facts matter?

First of all it is true that Obama never reached an annual real gdp growth rate of 3% or more. However so far neither did Trump.

2017 2.2%
2018 2.9%

https://www.statista.com/statistics/188165/annual-gdp-growth-of-the-united-states-since-1990/

the projections for 2019 are 2.3% and 2.1% for 2020

https://www.conference-board.org/data/usforecast.cfm

You cite quarterly rates for Trump (which yes at some quarters have been as high as 3.5% (Q2 2018), your numbers have been revised.

Now if you compare this to Obama's quarterly numbers his highest quarters where 5.5% (Q2 14) and 5.0% (Q3 14).

https://www.statista.com/statistics/188185/percent-chance-from-preceding-period-in-real-gdp-in-the-us/

The rest are your opinions which is fine, but obviously one has to wonder the basis for them if you are ignoring facts.

Anon, if only I could be as smart as you, alas I'm destined forever to be in your shadow spending my apparently non-existent money....now fuck off and get a life, surely there's a post over at huffpost or somewhere for you to haunt you have graced us with your genius long enough and with your smartarse snark, it got boring a comment or two ago.

Oh Thud nice display of your intelligence.

And Dennis how about that GDP number? I believe you were quite upset that Obama didn't hit a year with 3% growth.

I have to say that I should send a thank you card to Meg & Harry, because they've been a fun (if sad and tedious) soap opera to watch. Well, it was fun until Meg made him sell the guns that his grandpa gave him-- what a shrew!

As for our elected officials, I'm wondering why they are taking recesses or vacations while everything is going to rack and ruin in the USA? Shouldn't they be, well, leading? Looks like Trump is riding it out and facing the public, though. He may be the only incumbent for whom I vote in the Fall. I never thought I'd say this, but a Democratic Monarchy is sounding better and better all the time, because there's at least the appearance of neutrality in the royal family, and the public doesn't keep a permanent payroll for every single elected official the way we do here in the states. Once the bastards go home, they should no longer receive benefits of any kind-- what kind of job pays people forever whether they serve one term or ten?

But I'm ranting. Someone stop me.
I enjoyed the silliness of anonymous. You really know someone has strength of their convictions when they snipe from a blind. Aw, bless their pea-pickin' heart!
