I need to head over to Liverpool's Metropolitan Cathedral sometime over the next few days.I love the children's chapel pictured above....it has provided solace in troubled times and I wish to give thanks for the gift of my child to be. Plus I get to spend time in a Cathedral that although maligned by some is for me a place that I feel very comfortable in....it is the heart of Liverpool.

Although I am an atheist from another city with two cathedrals I agree that cathedral-sized buildings can have a comforting effect on one: I felt a similar calming feeling inside Airship Shed No 1 at Cardington.
