Cheers.

This Christmas seems to be more than ever, a time to enjoy family, friends and some of the finer things in life as the world seems to becoming more hostile with every report of new economic calamities and terrorist outrages. To fortify myself against 'the slings and arrows of outrageous fortune' I am planning to partake heavily over the holiday period of my favourite cognac...I may as well meet the new years grim outlook after having a rather merry christmas....so...cheers everybody.

Ooh! Please drink some for me...and for good measure, smash the goblet in the fireplace and swear afterwards. I think people do that in the movies - don't they?

Few things I like better in the winter than a snifter of good cognac.
