Faded glory.

I have written before about why I have after many years decided to no longer buy a daily newspaper, something once an important part of my daily routine. This article reminds me that I made the correct decision. The Telegraph was once a fine paper....conservative,knowledgeable and of a quality that demanded some thought be put into the reading of its leaders and investigative articles. Now it seems it is content with poor agency supplied articles attacking a fine conservative woman like Sarah Palin, consisting of rehashed libels and unsubstantiated rumours. Why would a paper like the Telegraph do this?...just more kneejerk mindless anti Americanism? Sarah Palin is a person who the old style Telegraph would have supported fully and even if it did not support her it would never have printed such a shabby shameless article but now it subscribes to the further demonisation of this seemingly dangerous woman....how the mighty have fallen.

Thudly...I expect those sorts of things in trashy rag magazines, but a newspaper?...tsk tsk. They should be embarrassed. I don't buy the newspaper anymore either. My reason..save a few trees and read it on the internet. :)

I too used to buy a newspaper every day (The Mail or The Times)but found that I got too wound up reading them, so now I wind myself up by reading stuff on the internet instead!

It's sad how predictable this has become.
