True Brit 23

A favourite film of mine as a child was "ill met by moonlight" a rip roaring British war film I could enjoy watching with my father. Later I found that the hero of the film was also the writer of my favourite travelogue books. Sir Patrick Leigh Fermor is another of those people who in their life manage to pack in enough adventures to endlessly entertain the rest of us in our otherwise drama free lives. His military career and his subsequent writings that illuminate hidden corners of Europe and it's people make him one of my own personal heroes....please write some more Paddy!

Favourite of mine too. Got it on DVD a few years go. I love Crete as well as the Mani where he lives. Like your site. Followed the link from mrfmt.

PS

I think the Alvis is a very attractive car.
