True Brit 22

Sir Christopher Wren was responsible during his life for many works both great and small. His most admired work however is St.Paul's cathedral in London, shown above towering above a burning London in the aftermath of a nazi bombing raid. If ever a picture could capture the spirit of a time and a nation then this picture does. For giving the nation this building alone,Sir Christopher deserves all the praise that has been directed to him over the long years since he laboured to produce such an iconic building.

in america, we used to say war had never touched our soil until of course 911, but here in utah we still never saw the clouds of smoke like london did. i hope we stayout of people's business and make love not war and that the factions that seem to disrupt england so much stay out of our homes

Wren was born in the same village at the same time as many of my ancestors, he didn't do too badly for a Wiltshire yokel.
