Rooting through the hedgerows this past weekend I came across a small tree, bearing green plum like fruit with a blue bloom on the skin.I have an idea they are Bullace but I am open to other suggestions as no one description I can find seem to agree on any clearly defining features, so do any countryside loving readers recognise the above?

A load of Bullace?
Rooting through the hedgerows this past weekend I came across a small tree, bearing green plum like fruit with a blue bloom on the skin.I have an idea they are Bullace but I am open to other suggestions as no one description I can find seem to agree on any clearly defining features, so do any countryside loving readers recognise the above?

Apparently good in home made wine too!
My wife says Wild Damson or plum but the tree has wooley aphids on the branches,the piccy give the impression they are too big to be Damson.
Not my best pic I'm afraid...they are only half as big as Damsons I have growing here.I'll have a better look when keys are handed over on the 6th (I hope).
Are they not Sloes?

Unlikely to be greengage with that bluish hue. Not sloes.
They look like damsons to me. They should grow darker by next month.
The only use for them is damson gin.

I may give that a whirl...a couple of the apple trees also.
If they have no thorns they mun be Daaamsons.
Sorry, I already identified that flower for you...it'll cost 10 pounds for me to continue....
