All the small things.

The Americanism "if it ain't broke don't fix it" seems to apply here.Sometimes it is the little things that anchor us to our past and make life just that little sweeter, best leave well alone.

In rural areas certainly he larger OXO tin was the school lunch box of my generation. A few sandwiches and a cake in greaseproof paper....in the tin and hold the lid shut with a rubber band that was a slice cut across a car inner tube. The band doubled up as a weapon of mass disruption.
no doubt the change of shape was the product of a 'marketing focus group'
99 years of being the right shape and now it has to be changed, any bets on it changing back within the year ?

Haddock...some little pointy head was no doubt paid a fortune to formulate a plan in how to rejuvenate a 'mature' product in todays marketplace blah blah.

easy to crumble if you are male..... if you don't take the foil off until you have crumbled the cube.
Crumbling is also fairly easy with the foil off..... but who needs OXO flavoured worktops, fingers, cooker and floor.
