Whilst still a little groggy from the time change and the sight of cloudless sky's I have had time to take in a few of the changes out here in California the last 6 months have wrought. The town I live in has always been a rather comfortable prosperous place and though it still hosts plenty of expensive shops and restaurants an air of quiet desperation seems to hang over many establishments. Speaking to a few people and listening to coffee shop chat it becomes apparent that the dream of Obamas new America seems to have come to a halt and a noticeable disenchantment with the neo socialist agenda has become rooted amongst many of his former foolish well wishers. Dining with a group of ordinary hard working folk a couple of days ago I was surprised at the slightly bitter edge to any mention of Obama when only six months ago I am sure the selfsame people would have at least been mildly optimistic about the new administration. The sense of satisfaction people such as myself get from the discomfit of misguided Obama voters is tempered with the realisation that much suffering lies ahead before Obama is consigned like other socialist experiments to the dustbin of history.On a lighter note I did enjoy speaking to the La Rouche people who set up shop outside Barnes and Noble, very polite chaps indeed....who knew Her Majesty the Queen was behind so many of the worlds problems? I always considered her a nice old lady...now her husband Phil the Greek...there's a chap to watch.

Change for changes sake.

Its interesting about the 'changes' since He descended upon the American throne of power. One interesting change that I noted in the drive in is the sudden disappearance of "Obama" bumper stickers. Understand that these stickers were all there within the first 100 days, and after for a good while. Now, except for a few die-hards, they are almost all gone. I can only think of two good reasons, and I have to assume its a little of both - I just don't know to what degree:
1) Pelosi/Reid talks of "swastikas" and "violence" are scaring them into taking their stickers off.
2) Many who voted for him aren't happy and don't want to lend their support.
My honest guy tells me that it is more #1 than #2, which is sad. I don't think people change their minds that easily. However, I do think the #1'ers exist, and you'll find them in places like that coffee shop you spoke of.

Dear lord, I'm so bad this morning. I believe the #2'ers exist. Ok, someone take my keyboard away. I no longer deserve it. Where's my nobel prize.

Trubes...I have to give Obama credit with clearly setting out his own hard left agenda in his books,he is at least true to his word. Anyway enjoy your trip.
He got his Nobel piece prize??? He hasn't done anything, except launched a missile at the moon. Whats the moon ever done to the US...He's not going to send troops into the Lunar south pole is he.
