One of my favourite blogs 'English buildings' , is one that features some wonderful unknown (to me) examples of English architecture both majestic and mundane (almost). The use of corrugated iron and its unnoticed beauty is often featured and has had me appreciating its use, when in the past I had often a less than favourable opinion as to its usage in many settings. The pic above shows a working ranch in the foothills of the misleadingly named Mt.Diablo just a few miles from my Californian home. In an area containing many ritzy homes and gruesome McMansions it is a pleasing reminder that some people realise that leaving well alone is sometimes best...an underused virtue.
