Thanks and goodbye.

Family OTW are leaving California in a few hours and are looking forward to Christmas back in England with family and friends. The excitement of our return is tempered by the thought of leaving behind a California in full festive swing. The trip has been a great success and I feel I understand life in America a little better whilst appreciating just how much my own country offers, I do feel I am lucky enough to experience the best both great countries have to offer. I would especially like to thank Vinogirl and La Serenissima for making our stay so wonderful and making the Princesses feel so loved.....We will see you next summer!

I envy you the opportunity to spend time in both countries, and I wish you a warm and happy holiday back in beautiful England. The happiest Christmas of my life was spent there with friends in Kent. It's a wonderful thing that at year end we all are reminded how our loved ones are the only true treasure in life. I wish you and all of yours a wonderful holiday, and may you all be richly blessed in the coming year!

Safe trip Thudders!

Just by coincidence, I'm reading "The Christmas train", by David Baldacci again, because it's one of the best tales for this time of year I've ever read!

All about a train journey from DC to Los Angeles, and great fun!

Stay in touch, and the very best to you all!

We've had a hard frost in the Lakes this weekend, but nothing like this.

Welcome back to the UK. I trust it's the north west?
