Brass monkey

It was minus 6 when I arrived at work today but as the pic above shows it was a pleasant drive in. The new fruit trees are due to arrive this week and unless I come across some dynamite for digging holes I fear the worst. As we went through the days schedule the plasterer just looked at me in disgust as I asked him how much he would be doing today...whats wrong with the man? a large hammer should be able to get through the ice on his water supply....I do spoil my workies.

Happy New Year to you and the family, went past your new place on Sunday, looked cold and empty, still awaiting to hear the yells of two little one's playing in the grounds :-),went for a walk at West Kirby today, the beach was full of ice,yes even the water had froze along the edges, don't blame your guys it took a while for the temp to reach 0c today, thought by now you would have ordered a mechanical digger to help you plant your trees, you could ask farmer Giles next door he has a lot of kit around with big diesel engines

Dynamite! My friend on the Big Island's husband is a builder and he has occasion to use that on the lava that gets in the way of some construction projects - it's a volcanic island made of rock!

Hello Thud,
if you're lucky, the tree supplier may not be able to dig up your new fruit trees until the freeze is over.
Just a thought!
