Gimme!

I want the above ceiling rose, in fact I must have it.The only problem is that it is made by a company in Australia, so lets see, fragile plaster and 10,000 miles to travel.....hmmm it's just not going to happen is it?

Go on get it,I can see you in the main? room with your back to the fire admiring you and your guys handiwork, also it,s a nice talking point, but why don't we have the craftsmen in this country to make one for you, very sad.

anon...we do have some companies that make decent stuff but too many just sell copies that are mass produced in surprise surprise China. I don't mind that so much but for the fact that they try to pass them off as hand crafted originals.

Why not do a 'Lakes' and just Photoshop the bit round the light?

I'm sure he's help for a small fee...

Have to admit, it is very nice though!

I suggest that you go for your second choice. Sometimes you have to compromise.

Don't they have packing?

If I'm not mistaken that's a Norwood design and the British firms I know of sell solid pieces. You might have to build one up in layers as Grinling Gibbons did (albeit with wood carving) by using Hayle and Howe components to get the same effect.

Gallimaufry...i will have to do something as it seems most companies are passing off identical Chinese copies as there own.

Can't you use a doily? ;-)

Seriously that is stunning. These people have an excellent reputation, and whilst they don't have anything quite like that in their catalogue they do custom stuff.

lilith is right, photo of doily down to your nearest sign maker, enlarge and cut from vinyl.....slap it on the ceiling, sorted.

don't paint the ceiling like this ...
