The life of a class traitor and peripatetic scouser.
Looks good, seems like everything is coming along.
Songs of Praise on AlJaBeeb,All about Lever's,one thing I was wondering about was the big Congragational Church at Thornton Hough,he was a Congragationalist, the other the thing I was wondering about and just hated it's use is Ode to Joy,it was written by a local guy for Lever, now it's being used by a gang of lefty toerags calling themselves the EUSSR.PS your doing well Thud that looks very nice, thought Id better keep on track
That is a thing of beauty. Perhaps you could listen to Flanders and Swan singing The Gas Man Cometh while it's happening. I'm sure there's a bit in there about glaziers....
Oh no! Wartime Housewife beat me to it.Yes indeed, WH, it's the fourth episode, after the gasman, the carpenter, and the electrician.Followed by the painter, who paints over the gas-tap, completing the loop.A wonderful song, irresistibly brought to mind by any mention of glaziers. I am a bit surprised to learn that they still exist; isn't it all part of a joiner's remit these days? One lives and learns.
WY....no,they are still some out there glazing away.I have worked with the same couple of chaps for years now and for all things glass they are just the ticket!
Those curves need a skilled glazier to cut. Mind you, the woodwork looks a very tricky bit of joinery - was it steam bent like hull planks?
Gallimaufry...I'm afraid not, just cut from a blank that allowed curvature. The chaps and I have a job in mind however that will require steaming as it is something I have wanted to try for a while....glazier ended up doing a pretty good job.
