More birds no bees (yet)

My little Robbins are coming along nicely as you can see, and the chaps and I feel inspired by the parents work rate in feeding them....or so I keep telling them.

Right about the bees Thudders!

Mrs S said exactly the same when the sun was on the apple trees today - where are they?

We have a nest of little finches under the balcony/deck and hear their chirps and parents songs thru the window.
Unfortunately we also have some rude crows and their retarded offspring - of which they are overly protective, and the constant kaaw-kaww-kaawing is a reminder of Grandpa's wonderful old Browning shotgun and its rightful purpose. God I hate crows.

Yikes...it's amazing that those ugly little suckers will grow into such pretty redbreasts!

Bees are essential for nature. What's happened to them ?

Scrobs and EK.... I've read a couple of articles lately about bee problems but have only now noticed the reality of their abscence, rather worrying.

We have been getting quite a few bees of the great big furry type, lovely creatures, but if they get in the house ,always sound very cross as i try and help them to get outside again, glass with a sheet of paper over works every time

The bees in California have been hit with some virus that kills them by the colony load.
