Stacks and stacks

The rebuild of the future office is proceeding nicely with the completion (minus pot and pointing) of the chimney stack for the new woodstove. Next week a bit of work on lime pointing and cutting new barge boards should see the job done for now. This years bitter winter nearly killed off the chaps and so next winter we shall at least have a place to brew up in relative comfort.

What's so nice about slates is the low angle you can use them at - I love them.

But there again, living in Kent means that we have more than out fair share of Kent Pegs...

All our chimneys 'bent' from the undistributed heat, and looked pretty silly until we took two out and rebuilt the others!
