Just come back from Mold outside market and it's being celebrated in Mold,we had a flypast of the RAF Dakota of the Battle of Britain flight,we were told to look towards the church tower as a flare would be set off from it when RAF Valley Anglesey had informed them of it arrival in the area, they had a brass band playing all the RAF tunes and a number of actors in RAF uniform plus the air cadets with collecting tins for Help for hero's charity plus a number of shop's decorated and I believe they are having a parade on Sunday and belive it or not the rain didn't start again until we came down the Welsh Road by Two Mills.

PS we are fine thanks,I just couldn't be bothered doing any commenting on any blog but have been looking and reading esp this one.

Albert, I'm off to a great classic car show today which I will enjoy but the flypast would beat it hands down.

I remember the old Speke airport air shows. The beauty of Hurricanes, spitfires, lancasters, mosquito's and a little more up to date a vulcan bomber swooping very low over our heads...Theres an artist COULSON, he does paintings of aircraft and steam trains ,etc ,but they're wonderful ,i had a whole set of ww2 aircraft prints .One was a signed painting of and by the surviving dambusters..when we moved the bloody dog chewed it ,i nearly killed him.
