Going going gone?
The permission for taking down the ugly brick extension on the gate lodge should be through sometime in the next week. The extension will then be replaced with a larger one constructed of matching sandstone with a gable ended slate roof, a much more fitting addition to what is quite an attractive little house.I'm hoping to combine an oil fired combi boiler and a wood stove with back boiler, a project that is driving my heating chap nuts.He is having to chat to various manufacturers of buffer tanks etc in the hope of finding something I like. The use of multiple heat sources is a growing area of the heating industry and one in which builders are increasingly having to take notice of....anyway enough of that, my sledgehammer is awaiting a good outing.

Not a statement you'll hear round here I assure you. They're all a big bunch of....
why are you outing your sledgehammer ?....can't it remain a closet gay hammer.... if it does a good job why not leave things as they are, who would know....it's not pink is it ?
haddock...a pink pounding?
Which is more fulfilling - the deconstruction or the construction?
James...there is a definite joy in destroying something as badly built as this extension.
Sounds like it might be theraputic!
Nice picture that Thud ,if you know what I mean, can you leave a sledgehammer out for me as I quite enjoy destroying things, etc.
