Pots of money

I found two chimney pots for the gate lodge this week at a reasonably decent price...result! Now I just need some for the bothy, gardeners cottage, office and about 14 for the main house....bollocks!

I really like those - but wonder if all chimblie pots HAVE to match? I like the idea of roofs looking a bit like a modern art painting....did you ever see the house in Headington with a Marlin leaping out of the roof?

Affer, sometimes it is good to see how a house has changed over the years but I've a rather sad collection in rather dangerous condition littering my roof. I liked the Marlin and I had a friend who had a giant rhino charging through his front wall...the council did not approve.

You still looking for chimney pots, had some lined up with some guy at Ellesmere Port he had two with him and half a dozen more but you buzzed off too pastures new so I let it go,we stopped going to the port on Monday as that's when the guy was about and I know he hasn't been for a while, have you checked the A51 he seems to have a bit of a steeple on show, how about the place at Beeston by the railway bridge, did see some up for auction at Beeston market which sells all sorts from tractors to horses, sandstone, cattle grids, wood, all at the beginning of each month, theres a weekly market and usually an equine market each week,I go for the cheese delicious at £2.50p ish for a 1lb of Cheshire or Chedder,up to Harrogate today for the flower show, took some pictures of the onions the size of a football.

Auction first wednesday each month in open and it's busy,go early, please remind yourself I am not responsible if you go inside to the equine auction, especially if you take the girls, they are now country girls and you may end up with a horse box and a few ponies :-),there is a place next door,Ive not checked it out but has reclaimed building bits, they did have those big bags of old red sandstone at the auctions,

Thuuders,

I think there's a place near Ticehurst in Sussex, which may have some.

I agree with Affer though, keep 'em all different if you can, because one will surely bust as soon as you get it up there!

Those are great by the way!
