The evil brick extension to the gate lodge is finally coming down and the plans for the larger replacement extension are in hand. .....the beast is dead. The new sandstone is ordered, Welsh slate is stockpiled and our lead is up to code so lets get cracking.

I'm very excited to see how this all turns out. Your craftsmanship is superb and inspiring!
Nice bricks though?
Pile 'em high?
trying to make sense of the whitewashed wall... an outhouse before the current addition ?
Haddock...the loo!
scrobs...waste not.
phlegmy..ta very much.
It would be OK, that brickwork, if the rest was done in it.
Went past yesterday and was calling you names for not letting me help knock it down even beeped, went past this morning and a few slates were removed, went past this evening and it was the same, have you given up?,is it getting too much,is madam Thud putting those threats out again, where's my cup of tea,
Manor rd is getting dangerous, nearly ended up being part of Ronald Mcdonalds tractor today, did you know Raby village had a second pub and it was even older than the Wheatsheaf you inhabit,English Heritage are trying to give it a grade two listing it's the Thatched roof one by the green
PS I forgot Bidston Observatory is up for sale the one on Bidston Hill above Bidston Hall .
Each plot is for sale separately, and includes the Grade II listed Victorian observatory and surrounding land, the Proudman Oceanographic Laboratory and the site of the former Braehead Cottages, your'e into these old places, the views well, superbly beautiful would be low rating.
PPS,
rumour has it that there is an entrance from the Observatory down to the existing air-raid shelters dug into the sandstone under Bidston hill for when Birkenhead docks were taking a hammering from bombs and sea mines deliverd by the German Luftwaffe in 1940's ,I do know there is a blocked entrance not too far away and the main ones were reblocked for the 200th time forever, but Wirral has some big moles and the concrete is being eaten again by mice.
Welcome back albert...useful info as usual.
