The old gentleman shown above on the left is one of my Irish great grandfathers, a Sligo man through and through. He remained Irish till the day he died but he served the Great Queen faithfully and for that I'd like to wish him a happy St. Patricks day even though my loyalty lies with St. George. The other two people are my much beloved now sadly departed maternal grandparents. My grandfather a practical and frugal man cut both his own and his wife's hair....with the same bowl it seems....happy St. Pats, Gran and Pop.

Paddys day
