Bend and lift
A quarter of a ton block to lift into place and those edges are rather fragile.....you just have to love manual labour, isn't there an app that can do this?
many years ago I was chatting to a chap who was renovating an old farmhouse; the step was worn so he had the brainwave of turning it over.... it was a pity that a chap a couple of hundred years before him had thought along the same lines.....
is it your part of the world where 'to keep a nice step' indicates your social worth ?
H...my mum is of the generation that realy did judge one on the state of the front doorstep, funnily enough it turned out to be quite an effective method.

See picture in post above. A bag of chips and a bottle of Lambrini and that block will be in place in no time.
