Hello friends

One minute the sky was empty and the next...swallows everywhere. Working outside in various outbuildings is always interesting when swallows are around as entering a barn and having a swallow fly out of the shadows on what seems a certain collision course with ones face certainly enlivens the day. They perch on the telephone wires chattering away merrily and then launch themselves at the ground like missiles only to miss what seems certain destruction as they skim along mere inches from the ground...clever little tinkers.

I hope they hang around for about 24 more hours so that I can see them.

You missed out the pheasants taking a shortcut from the fields by you to the fields across the road via my car bonnet, while I was doing 30mph, now that's a shock, so now the swollows are about we have something else to expect from the hedges, those back roads from Manor rd to Raby and Willaston what with cyclists, walkers, tractors, fishermen, cows, pheasants, bad car drivers they are getting dangerous to use.

Still waiting to hear the yells of delight either from the hossy or the house.

Need to be careful, Thud. There was a film called The Birds, made for just such a situation.
