Despite the inclement weather the various types of fruit trees around the gardens are doing rather well. The medlar shown seems in rather good health with a decent crop for a young tree...I'm still not sure about bletting though.

The French call medlars culs de chien. Best not translated. Changing the subject swiftly, medlar jelly is delicious.
Didn't think they'd fruit so soon!
I happen to think dogs have cute bums, little wagging tail etc. :)
