Spuds are us.

I decided to have a day off building today and concentrate on gardening , the vegetable patch in particular. My fellow blogger, monkey takes his veggie growing seriously and so he first mounded up the spuds before planting out the first carrot, parsnip and beetroot seedlings. The tiny little seedlings have their work cut out to survive the myriad of plant eaters I seem to be plagued with but the spuds seem destined for greatness....yet again the Irish in me will out!

Wow Thud the Spud Ha ha!
I am a real spud eater too, must be the'Oirish in me,
I could never diet as I eat too many spuds...Have come across the home grown Wirral spuds, although, on reflection, I don't think they're out until July, They used to be grown in New Brighton, mind you that's a memory of 40 odd years ago, Nothing better than Jersey Royals with crispy bacon and lovely new laid eggs....Yum yum!

Di,xx

How long would that harvest last you?

James...will probably get about 400lbs of spuds from what we have in this year...we eat lots of spuds!
Trubes...you can never eat enough spuds and I think local spuds are still available.

I miss your chips, but love the memory of the first chips from Cyprus spuds every June.

I wish this area were more conducive to growing 'taters, but you're more likely to come up with an oil well here. That garden looks so lush and lovely!
