My long awaited and much delayed (complete with bogus excuses) sandstone arrived yesterday and upon unpacking...it was completely rubbish. The pic shows on the top left the two test panels that were agreed upon as the standard for all the tooling. What I received was some beautiful stone that had been air chiseled in straight lines by what I can only imagine is some sort of masonic lunatic. The chap from the Quarry is arriving today to explain just what transpired and I think harsh words are the order of the day.....building is fun kids.

Oh dear!
What will the harsh words achieve though with those capable of doing this?
James, its amazing whatmoney and abad temper can do...I ended up satisfied.
Jeez, if you put that stuff up around that conservation area, you could end up in the ponds accidently of course or at least on the marshes by Sheldrakes, what a waste of some lovely stone.
WV=faceming ,how appropriate
Well if that was an 'air' chisel I dread to think what damage he would have done with a real one.
what the hell?! am i going to be digging some large holes this saturday?
Kev,monkey and Albert...never trust a rocker, get that hole ready.
Sorry - gulp - I think it loos great!
I never trust straight lines anyway...
Scrobs, Thud lives in a conservation area and they rule the roost,stone around here has 3 styles of tooling, Levers, Talbot and don't even think about it, that dressed stone comes into, oh fck definatly don't even think about it and could be used to help you be part of cockling boat anchor off Caldy deep.
The conservation people in this area are very strict and unforgiving. :-)
