I always wish that I'd followed my instincts, and learned the thatching business.
I don't know which part of the country has the most thatched roofs, but there are plenty round here which look stunning when they're restored properly.
Swung by the boozer today, they are doing a lovely job on the roof, shame about Willowbrow road, the next road up, it's badly damaged from the winter frosts and farmer Gile's other brother, one thing Iam delighted about, they have now put two brand new national speed limit signs, council priorities.
My local pub is getting a new thatched roof this week....I think I'll celebrate the old girls new haircut with a pint or two.

James...like scrobs I always fancied thatching but beyond my capabilities I'm afraid.
