Do the bop

How I spent my teenage years......can't play like that now and the hair is long gone!

Thud! The man. The myth. The legend. The middle-aged father.

My wife and I guessed: bass player.

white guitars + cool black clothing = classic

I love that car too.
Sounds great. Nice to have documentation of having been young and fresh with a healthy shock of hair.

Oh, you handsome divil you. No wonder you ended up with a beautiful wife and all those good-looking children.

There was another band I vaguely remember from Liverpool, from the sixties. Name escapes me now.

That's one heck of a sound Thud! That clip just exudes ENERGY...!

Looking forward to the reunion then...?

Will the family be there as well?

Love the track, and the others I found as well - and its still only just gone 6.00am!

Blown away, Thud.

And what a good looking fella !

I always wanted to be in a band like that but it just didn't happen.

Ah Ha. So Thud is a maturing of your original nick name? Dark horse you.

Wow, you guys were a good looking band with cheekbones and awesome triceps and some the moves - the whole package. Googling you now! You need to tell us what happened to you all.

OK back again. At the risk of sounding stalker-ish now, Wikipedia says you are releasing a single this year. True?

ALW, as part of my delayed midlife crisis a single and album will be out near end of year....makes me smile to remember my lost youth and I'm sure the kids will have a good laugh.

At least you could play! My spastic fingers (and brain) precluded even that remote possibility, and your hair was good, even if lifted with polymers and bent by plastic - better than lank and thin mouse-brown. I'm actually better (marginally) looking now that it's mostly gone.
Still need to grow a chin though...
Meical Science is a wonder if you can afford it, but if I had the cash I'd rather have the old Jag!!

Well, that was a blast from the past. Must say, I used to do a good job cutting your hair :)

Thud - A rather embarassed Miss Smack has been in contact with me. 'Spunk' is Australian for hunk. Her comment was meant as a compliment.

Ah the sneers ,the cocked lips and that quiff ,you must still have it around the house somewhere....Angry young men before nature took its course and we evolved into miserable old farts. No wonder your knees giving you gip, going by some of the twisted leg bends with your low slung guitar solo's....You honestly putting a 'disc' out...Do you need a roadie for the tour?

FUN! :-D (Followed a link over from Phlemmy's). I only have little bits and pieces of clips of me singing in bars, yet. You guys got an awesome car and you look SLICK. (I'm a sucker for simple videos - the more flash, the less interested I am.)

Bravo!

Just found the tape of the LP too! Are roadies entitled to royalties?

Crikey. Recording again.

I made up a decent enough song in the bath this evening. Let me know if you are interested.

Threw away your yoof, you did.

a track of ellery bop (possibly) has turned up on a mixtape but doesn't seem to match anything online - is it you - is it from a peel session -
find it here if you are interested
