Yankee doodle doo!

As I battle against the often torrential rain here and try to complete my summers job programme I keep my mind fixed on my eventual escape to my adopted home in California. The thought of two consecutive dry days seems such a luxury that the prospect of several dry Californian weeks to come is almost too good to be true. My usual trip comprises visiting relatives and just enjoying the laid back bay area lifestyle with sitting around drinking,coffee,beer or wine being the most strenuous activity I indulge in unless my sister wants any labouring done in her vineyard. This years trip will be enlivened though by the mounting momentum of the coming presidential election. I have a decided interest in the outcome because of my family and financial ties to America plus family OTW may emigrate permanently at some point in the not too distant future. Unlike many however I will be attempting this move legally with all the barriers this entails both financially and time wise. Considering the Obama administrations stance on illegal immigration perhaps I should consider alternative methods of entry into the country and should perhaps be rooting for his re election?....only kidding! I was hoping to flee the suffocating effects of socialist policies and not move thousands of miles to embrace just another version of it.....get a move on Mitt!
