Cheap as chips

Just back from Tuscany I am ready for the pleasures of building outside in yet another autumn and winter...whoopee! While in Italy I did the usual eating and drinking plus lots of snooping around old buildings admiring the various usages of stone with attention to repairs being my main topic of interest. Walking round the shops however I did see the shop pictured, a shop featuring a rather interesting use of cheapo chip board....I think it looks rather good if not exactly in fitting with my neo gothic tastes.

That's funny...looks like something Vinomaker knocked together :)

I really like that!

A lot of chipboard these days seems to be made from pieces rather than small chips, but some of the old stuff really does look attractive when varnished!

I think the big chip stuff surfaced in about 1987, presumably after another wood manufacturing process was found to be cheaper!
