RIP Sir Ken, a very funny man, not a bad thing to be in life. At times like these I'm reminded just how (for good or bad) tribal we scousers are. It is something the inland revenue forgot when they put Doddy on trial for tax evasion in Liverpool....a scouse jury !....find him guilty....you're having a laugh.

Nice one, Thud!
His show on the wireless in the sixties was required listening as well!
Liverpool is a law unto itself. I meet far flung scousers every day.
90, not a bad innings...RIP Dicky Mint's dad :)
Funny as f*** but I couldn't sit through one of his three hour marathons.
Thanks for that Thud, brought a tear to my eye, He was a lovely man.
I had the honour of working with him raising money for Alder Hey Children's Hospital, Derian House Childrens Hospice, also various cancer charities.
I would ring his private land line, linked to an answer phone then, Anne would contact me and we would arrange the event.
He helped in raising thousands of pounds, and even donated his fee to the particular charity.
I have a tickling stick autographed by him " To the delightful Di, lots of love from Ken Dodd".......Happiness indeed !
RIP my ticklesome friend..
Di xxx
