Out of my depth

The new house has/had a pool, the kids are wondering when is Dad/uncle going to get this sorted? well I've got until I get the keys in January to figure out just whats going on  here and how to fix it, if I get it done quickly I can start on the real work while the little sproglettes are occupied....sounds like a plan...yet again!

The difference between you and me.

I look at that and am filled with dread.

That said. I'm not hopeless. I have renovated three houses and one flat in my time. Added good value to all of them.

My present home was owned by the MUSE bassist when they headlined Glastonbury for the first time. I was lucky to pick it up during the 2013 (?) contraction and made the jump across from a bog standard semi with scrotes next door to five bed detached in an area of surveyors and teachers.

It needed work though.

I've spent many an hour three stories up on scaffold fixing roof, replacing gutters, pipes... smashed out the basement, put in a flat, new bathroom up stairs, walk in shower,, en suite.... landscaping done this year...

I've decorated (a third room this year) this week...

Can I join your gang if I lose my job ???

EK. the cost etc worry me a little but the problem solving and working (and talking shit) with a couple of mates is something that does get me going....you would be happy here. Scrobs....I'm a dab hand with hammerite....maybe I should just use stain block..ha!
