Vino slaves

My kids put in a shift as vino slaves at aunt Vinogirls today, netting the vines to keep off pesky birds.The little uns did a  full morning shift and as a reward they then went for in and out burgers....its good to be a kid!

Happy harvesting

I am due up in Napa early in the morning to help with Vinogirl's cab harvest,something I look forward to as I've never had the opportunity to help before. As I left England the harvest had just finished and for once I was able from the new house to watch the various crops being brought in.The pic above by E.Chambre Hardman shows the fields next to mine being harvested back in the 1930's,rather different in execution but I think the spirit remains the same.
