The view of Mt Diablo from the window of the plane as we come in to land at SFO is always a cheering sight. The Swiss air flight was as efficient and comfortable as one would imagine the Swiss would provide and the journey to our home at the base of Mt Diablo accomplished courtesy of a crazed Indian with little trouble and maximum speed ( mind you we now all speak Hindi). As an Englishman I always feel guilty by the joy California elicits in me but what can I do?...sun,food,wine and good company is an unbeatable recipe for happiness....it's good to be back.

Hello Contra Costa

At last !
Now that the baby has made his appearance we have finally been able to book our longed for trip to our home in California. Sometime in July I can wash off the accumulated grime of the last 12 months building work ( a high pressure hose should do it) and enjoy all that the bay area has to offer. It is going to be a busy trip with a wedding,a christening,an anniversary party, a Utah road trip and last and most definitely least....my birthday. Hopefully England will oblige with some decent weather before we depart and so perhaps a long hot summer awaits...one can hope.
