Going nowhere.

Driving through Puddington (great name) one of my favourite local villages, I stopped to take the above pic something I've meant to do for a while now. The gateposts and wall are of rather decent quality and yet they appear (on google earth) to lead nowhere and yet there they are. Just what was here in the past? who lived there and what happened to them? I seem to spend half my time living in the past,so much so I sometimes ignore the here and now...perils of a life spent around rebuilding period houses I suppose?
