Techie question from an amateur self-builder: I would have expected to see cavity ties sticking out of the blocks where the stonework hasn't got up to that height, is it done differently with real stone building? How do the two leafs of the wall get fixed together?

Just curious...

cavity ties ? I don't think the Clerk of Works on her pink scooter would let anything shoddy past her. Looks like she had the lad sorting something out.
