Bye bye Brett.

Now I'm back over the water I'm immersed in Liverpool's campaign to achieve something from the mess of this seasons trouble over ownership and managerial uncertainties.Back over in the land of the free the Packers QB Brett Favre has finally retired.Over here in England it means less than nothing to all but a few of us who follow the game ...but to those of us that do...Favre was one of the all time greats and will be missed...anyway...go Packers!

I had season tickets for Ipswich Town at Portman Road 1970 to 1975 when they were First Division and challenging for the top each year. They won the FA Cup the year after I left. They had great players - David Johnston, who Liverpool picked up later, Allan Hunter, Kevin Beattie, Colin Viljeon, Mick Mills, George Burnley, Peter Morris, Trevor Whymark - I'm doing these from memory - not bad after over thirty years.

Those were great times, great teams and memories.

I'm one of the few Yanks who know a Scouse is a Liverpudlian.
