As well as being a lifelong Liverpool football club fan I'm also a dedicated follower of the NFL team, The Green bay packers.The packers are in the playoffs this weekend and even though I cannot be a t Lambeau I will as a dedicated cheesehead be following and cheering the team on as much as I can...go pack go!

Now I'm back over the water I'm immersed in Liverpool's campaign to achieve something from the mess of this seasons trouble over ownership and managerial uncertainties.Back over in the land of the free the Packers QB Brett Favre has finally retired.Over here in England it means less than nothing to all but a few of us who follow the game ...but to those of us that do...Favre was one of the all time greats and will be missed...anyway...go Packers!

Big day for the packers today....so I've cheese curds(ta vinomaker)Doritos and beer at the ready!.....what more could I want on a Sunday..except maybe after 20 odd years of watching American football to understand what the hell is going on!
