Going Goth 4

My little Gothic bargeboard side project is finally finished (well nearly!) and mounted on the little cottage.I'm quite pleased with the effort and the effect as it isn't something I've done before....what to do next I wonder?

Gardengnomea!Isn't that what garden gnomes catch when they've been playing hide the hat?

very nice detail, historically the colour wouldn't have been white. The Titanium dioxide pigment is a fairly recent invention, older colours were usually darker, creams, greens blues and browns. When stripping paint from old woodwork you can find some amazing colours. I always think that white is too 'strident' for old buildings. Have a play with a graphics program and that photo to see what a different colour does.
Next.... a screen for the water but ?

No white paint before titanium dioxide?

Pb(C2H3O2)2·3H2O

Tastes great, too.
