And to think Macca was responsible for their name. Was there anything the Beatles didn't have a hand in? I suppose being the second best band in the world is some consolation for Sir Paul of Everton.
Shocking how young Johnny, Joey and Dee Dee died. Thank goodness they showed up for the party, though. timeless!
The Undertones were better at this
After seeing both bands numerous times I can tell you they certainly were not...for spotty little oiks they did a fine job but realy...be serious...mind you as anon I shouldnt expect much should I?
Saw them at the Santa Cruz Civic in '80, slam-dancing was so frenetic I lost the Levis jacket I had buttoned up to my neck - three times. It just wound up down on the floor.
Hey Thud. Just caught up with this. Fantastic! I took self and Fred Jnr to see the Boss at the Emirates Stadium in Finsbury park earlier this summer and the sound quality was so poor we had to leave. Would have loved to have seen The Ramones live; unbeatable energy. Feargal Sharkey was on Radio 4 earlier today, banging the drum for royalty payments. Where's his perfect cousin when he needs him the most? It comes to us all in the end.
