No Thanks!

I'm watching a BBC news report about the American election as I am typing this.Apparently obama is saying that his election will not only change America but the whole world!...I don't suppose anybody could have a little word with him for me could they?......I know I'm being a little picky but I'm perfectly happy as I am...I don't want your hope and change...so thanks but no thanks.

I rather like Obama, but don'treally know enough about American politics to really form a balanced opinion. I was glad he knocked Hilary Clinton out.
I think I've said it before that, the Republicans, IMHO ,are a bit too right wing and Senator McCain is too old now, to hold such a demanding role.
What Ms Palin stands for ...well I'm baffled...All style and no substance,... strikes me, she's abit of an airhead!
Imagine if she had her hand on the nuclear button? ... too scary to comtemplate.

Obama is a pure-hearted Lefty, that is to say thoroughly through-and-through a Lefty, not "pure" - so we'll veer into socialized-everything that he can get votes in Congress to pass, and the economy will crash and bring down the rest of the world. Sorry guys!

Trubes...I'll have to disagree on this one...if I had a vote Palin would get it in a heartbeat and as far as I can tell from my American family they too are wholeheartedly behinf her.I'm not quite sure how a working class airhead would achieve what she has prior to being nominated as vp.

I loved Barry's quote the other day..."America is the greatest country on the planet, now let's change it". Erm...can someone explain that to me?

Hello Thud.
As I said previously, I really don't know a lot about American Politics so I take your word about Ms. Palin. Maybe I am being too judgemental.
I just felt it was a political stunt when McCain appointed her as his 'running mate', as, according to many, she was a political unknown.
Anyway, whoever wins the Presidency, I hope that the US and the world will be a better and safer place for it!

Should be an interesting 24hrs.ahead!
