Daylight robbery.

One of my first tasks upon arriving here in California was to hook up my clever little Western Digital media player to the T.V. This would enable amongst other things for my dear old mum to keep in touch with her inner cockney (strange considering she is scouse) by watching Eastenders on a larger screen than that of a laptop. The only thing missing was a hdmi cable, a problem quickly rectified by Amazon...65 cents (40p)...plus free shipping! Hang on a minute, the chap in England's PC World spent ages trying to persuade Mrs OTW to spend 50 pounds ($80) on a similar cable when we set up the very same system in England. Mrs OTW resisted his sales patter and settled on a cable costing 'just'20 pounds ($33). The 65 cent cable (up apparently from 50 cents...damn!) seems to do the job just as well and soothes my aching wallet...Oh well, time to see what the inhabitants of Albert square are up to.

I think shipping cost about as much as the cable: http://www.eforcity.com/tothhdmh5ft1.html

That is scandalous...and the price of the cable is just as shocking as watching Eastenders!

That looks like the kind of box I need, any chance of a link to the product?

Sounds like the 10p audio cable I brought from mexico didnt really last long like. £10 wire still going strong. Is it worth the extra £9.90 or should I have bought a 100 of them just to see how long they would of lasted.
