A quiet Sunday

I tend to try and make my Sunday a traditional day of rest although work and family do sometimes mean a more active day than I would wish. I started today with a check of the news and my favourite blogs something that soon had me a little downcast as tales of woe and dire future prognostications disturbed my hopefully tranquil day. I found respite in the film ' The way to the stars', a classic film of understated Englishness perfect for reminiscing about days when good and evil seemed so easily defined and tackled. A following meal of breast of lamb ( an underused cut) soon put me to rights with the world and for the rest of the day to simply ignore the rest of the world and enjoy what my own little kingdom could offer.

Perfick!

I love sunny Sundays when I can concentrate on the job of creating a boxfull of kindling, walking JRT in the woods, and wondering when I can open a bottle of the last post I did...

Breast of lamb looks interesting like that, and we're just working out how to snaffle some rosemary from the hedge next door for something similar next week!
