Ho Hum

So G.M. is to kill off the hummer and a million eco dorks rejoice. I remember the Hummer fondly, particularly a journey in a blizzard hit Sierras a couple of winters back. I felt secure and safe in my black, snow tyred hummer which I presume is what the vehicle was all about whether in reality it was or was not any better than dozens of other 4x4's that seemed to stick closely in the wake of my rock steady Hummer.....what a beast!

I reckon a Land Rover series 1 would be a better choice to pee off the c02 end of the world nutters,a domestic Hummer is just a truck tarted up to look like the real thing a military Hummer, both vehicles the military Hummer and a Series 1 Land Rover mmmm mmmm.

Are you resident yet ?.

I like the big old Land Rovers - the big old fenders were like those on a Churchill tank. When we were up in Darjeeling when I was a kid (in 1967) I remember seeing some giant four-door Land Rovers for taking tourists out onto some mountain ridge in the pre-dawn so they could watch the sun come up on Everest - I guess that was the 109-inch length chassis. We didn't do that. I did meet some Ghurkas and got my Kukri then.
A Land Rover with a lift-kit and giant tires would be hairy!

I'd love a VW bay camper.

yeah, I gotta say I love the idea of being in one of those beasts. I'd love personally to drive a fully operational tank through the backstreets of Streatham at night, lobbing grenades at the dodgies and the hoods. Parking? No space? No problem. Just crush em out of the way. I'd have far better insurance anyway.

Mermaid you shock me with your bloodthirsty attitude,me thinking you just swam with the fishes or had problems with plumbing and played music with Old Tarf.
